Mount Fabric
Biography

Mount Fabric hail from all over the country, but have called Manchester home for the majority of their adult lives.  For years they remained aspiring bedroom musicians while their numerous attempts to start bands were stunted by too much talking and not enough playing.  Finally, one day, an advert was posted that said simply "I don't care who you listen to, let's make some interesting music", a reply came back, and Mount Fabric was born.

Their early efforts were a mishmash of quirky riffs and rocky distortion, doused in crazy effects.  Filtered, refined and well-practised, these elements eventually began to meld into something worth listening to, and so they armed themselves with a catalogue of weird and wonderful songs, ready for world domination.

Skip forward two years, and Mount Fabric have evolved into one of Manchester's best-kept secrets.  From the Ritz to the darkest of dingy pubs, they have taken every gig they can get their hands on and wangled their way onto the bill at every major venue in the city.  Their guitars, eye make-up and hair colour may have changed over the years, but a few things remain the same: the inability to write a song and then leave it alone, the thirst to play to as many people as will listen (and a few who won’t), and their uncontested title as best table tennis playing band in the North West.

Mount Fabric recorded their first demo, "Hyposmia", in late 2008 at home. The "Fan Track Pack" was released in 2009 as a collection of demos and rarities. Their first official release, "The Crow E.P." was released on the 17th May, 2010, with two bonus tracks following on the 1st of July.
